Roger Hawes

Business Relation Partner

Roger has over 30 years experience as a lawyer and over 20 years experience as a legal practice manager with Cobbetts.

His legal experience has been mainly in business law but with a special interest in entrepreneurs and owner managed businesses. He was an employment law specialist in the early part of his career working mainly for employers and senior executives. Later he worked extensively in the area of corporate law advising on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, fund raising and shareholder issues. He has advised international clients on English law and practice and has helped overseas clients set up business in the UK.
 
Roger has been advising clients in the public transport sector since the deregulation of the bus industry in the mid 1980's.
 
His current role as business relations partner enables him to capitalise on his extensive network of contacts in the UK and internationally for the benefit of clients and colleagues. His management experience and wide legal experience enables him to identify business development opportunities. His current management responsibilities include leading the retail and consumer group which seeks to provide added value services to businesses operating in this sector and managing relationships with key contacts within the UK and internationally.
